10 things I do when I'm procrastinating

1. I watch the COLTS play football! Yeah, I should’ve been writing last night. *WOOT*
2. I sort socks. The blasted things seem to multiply and I can think freely while in the laundry room. Lol..it’s the only room no one will follow me into. *Blink* I can’t figure out why?
3. I rearrange my to-be-read piles. *Whisper* I have thousands yet to be read. They annoy the dh, but I can’t help myself from buying another. My plan is to read them in my retirement.
4. I develop new ideas. *grin* You all should see my idea file...add them to our Mari file and peoples I’ll be writing until I’m too old to retire and simply read for pleasure once more.
5. I read each and normally respond to every one of my friends e-mails as they arrive. Lol..don’t want to fall behind.
6. I spend every moment with my children they want with me, because they're all growing so fast. If I’m working and get interrupted I stop and pay attention to their needs. And they can be so funny!
7. I watch PRISON BREAK, 24, COLD CASE, THE CLOSER, CRIMINAL MINDS, & WITHOUT A TRACE whenever new episodes are on.
8. I go see movies with the children, or the dh whenever asked.
9. *Blush* This one I’d better not type.
10. *Grin* I fill out a list on procrastinating.

This topic was happily stolen from Melany Logen. What do you do when you procrastinate?

Until later~

His Heart on His Sleeve update

Our Valentine Vixen Quickie with Ellora's Cave has a release date! It was chosen to be released on Valentine's Day itself! *tossing Confetti with Rissa* as I grab a paper bag to breath into!

where did the saying To wear one's heart on his sleeve come from?

During the medieval era of chivalry, the names of English maidens and available men were put into boxes and drawn out in pairs. Each couple exchanged gifts and the girl became the man's sweetheart for a year. He wore her name on his sleeve and was bound by duty to attend and protect her. This is the accepted origin of the phrase, "to wear one's heart on one's sleeve".

How does this tradition play into Sibil and Waryn's story? Wait for its release and find out *g*

may you find a little vixen inside of you!

resolve to kiss more!

Happy New Year! I hope you all had someone special to kiss at midnight, to welcome in the new year! I recently added to my growing file of facts showing how beneficial kissing can be. Making this passtime all the more worthwhile!...

Kisses cheer you up. They use the same muscles as a smile. The contact of lips to another’s actually signals the brain to release Oxytocin that fun hormone that causes that feel good all over feeling. Not to mention you are close enough to discover if your pheromones are in sync…Whether that kiss could lead to something more. If so, then a chemical is released that prompts us to want more. Bet you don’t want to stop at just one.

If that info's not enough to make you want to kiss more then here’s what other studies showed…

~Okay, allergy sufferers are you up for a challenge? The results from a study in The Journal of Psychosomatic Research showed kissing for a half-hour may give relief from allergies. The lip-locking sessions appear to lower levels of IgE, an antibody that’s responsible for sneezing and stuffiness.

~It reduces stress… your breathing becomes deeper, your eyes drift closed, it’s the perfect way to shut out the world.

~Helps you lose weight…10 calories for every 10 minutes of kissing. Anyone up to the challenge? *g*

~ Slows the aging of the face, by working out the neck and cheek and jaw muscles.

~Increases fitness levels… adrenaline enters the blood stream, hearts pumping, pulse racing… hmmm if your partner is good enough at it, it can be a regular cardiovascular work out!

~ Helps prevent tooth decay… saliva produced during kissing helps bring plaque levels down to normal… although not sure how many kisses you’ll get after a burger topped with onions unless you brush first or at least pop a breath mint in your mouth.

~One study by German psychologists and physicians determined a kiss in the morning was good for your career…recipients missed less days due to illness, had fewer auto accidents, earned 20-30 percent more and lived five years longer.

In any case, go up to those you care about and plant a kiss on them. Give them that feel good all over feeling that comes from knowing someone cares! Plus you can practice up for Valentine's Day or better yet International Kissing Day on July 6th!!!

May your days be filled with all different kinds of kisses, with many different intentions. From a greeting a friend, affection to family, to an invitation for passion.
