HohS is a medieval. I’d always wanted to write a medieval. Anyone remember all those by Julie Garwood? How about Honor’s Slender? Judith McNaught, before she went contemporary, too? I loved her Kingdom of Dreams?
Mercy, what wonderful books and when I approached Mari with the idea and she said yes. I nearly cried, because this is a genre that has always meant so much to me.

I cut my teeth on Historicals too but different authors... Susan King, Karyn Monk, and Elizabeth Elliott were my first few. So of course I would say yes when you tempted me with the idea! they hold a special place in my heart as well. That a publisher accepted one I helped write is just amazing to me!
And looking at the over-flowing "what if" idea folder encompassing so many genres. i can definitely agree it is our first of many.

You two are the best *G* I too love historicals, especially the medievals. Julie Garwood has a couple amazing ones. The "Wedding" and the "Bride" are two that jump to mind.
I can't wait to read it. It feels like ages since I read a good historical. I think I'm suffering from withdrawl.

I've only read a few Garwoods, but liked them. I don't remember if I've read KoD, but I liked the Velvet books. Were those medieval, though? Maybe not.
